Academic: Master's degree; Master's or equivalent in social work or a related discipline from an accredited college or university (degree may be in progress at application).
Prerequisites: Professional experience; Minimum of two years of post-master's practice and/or research experience strongly recommended; post-master's experience at micro, mezzo, or macro levels highly valued.
IELTS: 6.5 overall; Accepted English proficiency test per Brown School international guidance.
TOEFL: New scale: 5.0 overall | Old scale: 90 overall; Brown School international guidance for tests on the new TOEFL scale.; International applicants must provide English proficiency scores; Brown School international guidance cites TOEFL iBT 90 (old) / 5.0 (new).
GRE: Not considered; Brown School does not require GRE or other graduate entrance exams for PhD admission.
