Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Minimum GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.0 base for the equivalent of the last 2 years of undergraduate study; exceptions may be made upon department recommendation. Competitive averages are typically higher.
Prerequisites: Quantitative background; Mathematical training through three semesters of college-level calculus required; one semester of advanced calculus strongly recommended. A mathematics degree is not required.
IELTS: 6.5 overall; Accepted alternative to TOEFL.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.5 each component) | Old scale: 90 overall; Graduate School minimum for tests on or after 21 January 2026; some departments may require higher.; Minimum for applicants whose native language is not English (internet-based).
