Academic: Master's degree from a state-accredited university; UZH formal doctoral admission requires a master's diploma that entitles the holder to pursue doctoral studies in the country of award. The diploma need not be available at application time but must be submitted by the matriculation deadline if admitted. Excellent bachelor's holders may pursue a fast-track pathway with conditions; confirm with IfI.
Prerequisites: Confirmed dissertation supervisor; Find an IfI professor willing to supervise, then request departmental admission (Request for Admission to the PhD Program in Informatics signed by the supervisor, plus bachelor's and master's transcripts/diplomas). After IfI Doctoral Committee approval, apply to UZH Admissions as an individual doctorate in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics.
