Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Graduate School requires 3.0/4.0 for last 90 quarter or 60 semester credits. Department prefers overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 for M.S. applicants; 3.3 is preferred, not a published hard cutoff for machine evaluation.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Intended for applicants with undergraduate mechanical engineering or a closely related field, including core ME topics (fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, dynamics, systems, machine design, manufacturing, and design). Non-ME backgrounds may qualify after math, natural science, and engineering fundamentals; see department FAQ.
