Academic: Master's in economics (B+) or bachelor's (A- final two years); Regular-entry: master's in economics or related field with at least B+. Direct-entry: bachelor's in economics or related field with at least A- in the final two years. One September intake; full-time only.
Prerequisites: Quantitative background; Strong preparation in advanced mathematics, statistics, and economics, including microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, and econometrics or statistics.
IELTS: 7.0 overall (6.5 each component); Department Economics ELP table; IELTS Indicator not accepted. Required if no Canadian university degree and prior degree not taught/examined in English.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.5 writing, 4.0 speaking) | Old scale: 93 overall (22 writing, 22 speaking); SGS dual-scale mapping used elsewhere in this school file for tests on/after 21 Jan 2026; confirm against current Economics ELP page if republished.; Department Economics ELP table (iBT).
