Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Graduate School minimum: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in junior- and senior-level work and in any graduate work already completed.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Expect success in multiple economics courses (at least intro and intermediate micro/macro). Multivariate calculus essentially required; linear algebra, real analysis, or other proofs-based math generally expected. Research experience viewed positively.
IELTS: 6.5 overall; Graduate School Academic IELTS minimum for international applicants.
TOEFL: New scale: 4 overall | Old scale: 79 overall; Graduate School minimum for international applicants on the new iBT 6-point scale.; Graduate School minimum for international applicants. Some programs prefer higher scores.
GRE: Required (no minimum published); GRE General Test required; GMAT not accepted. Department notes recent admitted applicants average about 168 quantitative (not a published cutoff).
