Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; UF Graduate School minimum 3.0 upper-division GPA. Competitive CISE admits commonly have ~3.3/4.0 in CS/CE/EE backgrounds.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Or equivalent: Calculus I–II; Statistics; Intro CIS; Discrete Structures; Computer Organization; Data Structures and Algorithms; Operating Systems. Majority of accepted students have CS, CE, or EE undergraduate degrees.
IELTS: 7.5 overall (R/L/S 6.5, W 5.5); CISE alternative to TOEFL; higher than UF Graduate School 6.5 overall.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 90 overall (19 each section); UF Graduate School new-scale minimum effective Spring 2027; confirm with CISE if department publishes a higher new-scale threshold.; CISE department minimum (higher than UF Graduate School 80). Indian applicants must submit TOEFL or IELTS.
GRE: Optional; GRE optional; Verbal scores expected to be at least 140 if submitted.
