Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.5/4.0; Undergraduate GPA 3.5 minimum on a 4.0 scale; international equivalencies determined by the department. Grading-standard differences across colleges are considered; applicants from unusually hard-grading institutions who narrowly miss 3.5 may still be considered.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; Accepted alternative to TOEFL under the same English-proficiency policy.
TOEFL: 85 overall; Required for international applicants whose native language is not English and who have not studied full-time for one uninterrupted academic year at an English-instruction university in a country where English is a dominant language. Catalog publishes iBT minimum 85; new 1–6 TOEFL scale not listed on the Economics catalog admissions block.
