Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Or equivalent if a letter-grade system is not used. UCLA Graduate Division minimum for regular admission.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Bachelor's in materials science, metallurgy, or ceramics. Chemistry, physics, or other engineering majors may be admitted with an introductory materials course or equivalent remedial work.
IELTS: 7.0 overall
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall | 87 overall; University minimum for exams taken on or after 21 Jan 2026.; University minimum for exams taken before 21 Jan 2026. UCLA does not accept MyBest scores.
