Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Or equivalent if a letter-grade system is not used. UCLA Graduate Division minimum for regular admission.
Prerequisites: Quantitative background; Linear algebra, multivariate calculus, differential equations, numerical methods, and advanced statistics and probability. Computational programming (C++, R, Python) and familiarity with MATLAB are expected.
IELTS: 7.0 overall
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall | 87 overall; University minimum for exams taken on or after 21 Jan 2026.; University minimum for exams taken before 21 Jan 2026. UCLA does not accept MyBest scores.
GMAT: Accepted alternative; GMAT accepted in place of GRE. Code 2NZ-2F-21. Ph.D. holders exempt.
GRE: Required (no minimum published); GRE or GMAT required except for Ph.D. holders. Institution 4837.
