Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; UCLA Graduate Division minimum scholastic average of B (3.0/4.0). Students entering the Ph.D. are expected to have completed master's requirements with at least 3.25/4.0; exceptional applicants may enter without an M.S. but complete the M.S. along the way. Applicants without an M.S. are normally admitted as master's students unless they already hold an M.S.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Necessary academic preparation for graduate-level MAE courses. Applicants with an existing M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field will not be admitted for a duplicate degree at the same level.
