At least two and no more than four; academic or professional referees who can assess ability to succeed in a rigorous law program.

Official transcript(s)

From all higher education institutions attended, including undergraduate, graduate, and law school, via LSAC.

Academic: First law degree; Law degree from the applicant's home jurisdiction (or equivalent) expected. No numeric GPA cutoff published on the apply page.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Prior legal education sufficient for LLM study at Chicago. Not a JD-to-practice pathway for first-time US bar applicants without a first law degree.
IELTS: 7.5 overall; Accepted alternative if English is not a native language.
TOEFL: 104 overall; Required if English is not a native language. TOEFL MyBest not accepted. TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition accepted.
GRE: Not considered; LSAC LLM application materials do not list GRE/GMAT as required.
