Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Or equivalent from the bachelor's-degree institution (Graduate Studies / MAE FAQ).
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Admissions committee looks for excellent academic achievement in mechanical and aerospace engineering; outstanding applicants from related fields (electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.) may also be successful.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; MAE publishes 80 iBT TOEFL or 7.0 IELTS for nationals of non-English-speaking countries.
TOEFL: 80 overall; MAE publishes 80 iBT TOEFL or 7.0 IELTS for nationals of non-English-speaking countries.
GRE: Required (no minimum published); GRE General Test required for all applicants; scores valid 5 years. MAE FAQ: no minimum score; poor GRE performance can be detrimental. Graduate Council degree requirements state MS applicants should have GRE Verbal at least 60th percentile, Quantitative 80th percentile, and Analytical Writing at least 50th percentile (not a published hard cutoff for machine scoring).
