Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.25/4.0; Minimum overall GPA required for admission; the entire record is reviewed.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Bachelor's preferably in economics. Non-majors should have at least intermediate microeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, and two additional upper-division economics courses. Calculus is essential; linear algebra is highly recommended; at least two statistics/econometrics courses are expected.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; Campus Graduate Studies minimum unless economics publishes a higher IELTS threshold.
TOEFL: 80 overall; Internet-based TOEFL scores below 80 counting all 4 sections will not be considered.
GRE: Required (section percentiles published); Applicants with GRE verbal below the 60th percentile (30th for non-native speakers of English) or GRE quantitative below the 70th percentile will not be considered. No single total GRE minimum is published for machine scoring.
