- Subject-specific qualifications are assessed against compulsory modules of the TUM Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Stage 1 reviews subject knowledge, average grade of relevant modules, and program-specific vocational training/internships. Stage 2 is a personal aptitude interview covering motivation/commitment, scientific aptitude, subject knowledge, and communication skills. Aptitude-assessment rule changes apply to applications submitted on or after 1 April 2026. Instruction is German and/or English.
