Academic: Bachelor's degree; Or recognized equivalent (accredited baccalaureate of at least three years). The catalog asks that the last two years of full-time study show ability to do graduate-level work. No university-wide hard GPA cutoff unless a department publishes one.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Engineering and science backgrounds are welcomed. Quick Admit auto-admit GPA 3.25 applies only to current Texas A&M undergraduates in the same department, not the general pool.
IELTS: 6.0 overall; Texas A&M ELP admission minimum (2026–2027 Graduate Catalog). New iBT scale applies to tests taken on or after 21 Jan 2026; old iBT scale applies before that date.
