Published Score Requirements

Academic: Recognized first university degree; The degree must provide the required academic background for the Master's program.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; A recognized degree in electrical engineering, information technology and/or computer engineering with at least 28 ECTS advanced mathematics, 10 ECTS physics and physical principles of electronic devices, 34 ECTS electrical engineering including circuit technology, 12 ECTS informatics and programming, 8 ECTS control and mathematical systems theory, 8 ECTS electromagnetic field theory or theoretical information theory, and 20 ECTS application-oriented courses.
IELTS: 5.5 overall; Accepted English evidence under the applicable RWTH language provisions; exemptions apply for qualifying English-language institutions or native English speakers.
TOEFL: 90 overall; TOEFL iBT English evidence under the applicable RWTH language provisions; exemptions apply for qualifying English-language institutions or native English speakers.
GRE: Required (QR above 85th percentile; VR above 15th percentile); Required for applicants who are not EU/EEA nationals or who completed their schooling outside Germany; the official GRE report must be sent to RWTH, institution code 8504.
