Published Score Requirements

Academic: Bachelor's degree with B+ average (Otago equivalent); Honours degree or Postgraduate Diploma in a biomedical subject with a research report/thesis/dissertation of at least one quarter of the programme; normally B+ average overall and B+ in the research component.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Biomedical subject with substantial prior research component. Thesis-only master's.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (6.0 each component); University postgraduate minimum. Required if prior study was not in English.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (writing 4.5) | Old scale: 90 overall (writing 21); Postgraduate minimum. New scale applies to tests from 21 Jan 2026.; Postgraduate minimum. Old scale applies to tests before 21 Jan 2026.
