Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; GPA for the last degree earned should be at least the 75th percentile on the grade scale and at least 3.0/4.0. Three-year degrees generally do not meet Ohio State requirements.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; Mathematics graduate applications page lists IELTS 7.0 Academic.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.0 overall | Old scale: 79 overall; University Graduate School minimum for applicable international applicants. Programs may require higher. New scale applies to the updated TOEFL launched January 2026. Ohio State does not accept MyBest scores.
GRE: Not considered; GRE General or Subject scores may be submitted but are normally not considered for admissions decisions.
