Mathematics course list

List junior-, senior-, and graduate-level mathematics courses taken or to be completed; for each course identify textbook (if any) and a short list of topics covered.

Recommendation letters x 3

Minimum three (up to four); preferably from professors familiar with advanced work; strongly suggest no more than one REU letter.

Unofficial transcript(s)

From all colleges and universities attended or currently attended; unofficial suffice for application; official required to enroll after admission.

Academic: Bachelor's degree; No published hard GPA cutoff on the Mathematics application page.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Preparation for doctoral study in pure mathematics; include a list of junior-, senior-, and graduate-level mathematics courses taken or to be completed, with textbook and topics covered for each course.
IELTS: 6.5 overall; Department C1-equivalent minimum. TGS spoken-English milestone is IELTS Speaking 8.0 by the start of the second year.
TOEFL: 95 overall; Department C1-equivalent minimum on the TOEFL iBT when English proficiency is required. TGS also has a separate spoken-English milestone (TOEFL Speaking 26) by the start of the second year.
GRE: Not considered; The Department of Mathematics will not consider general or subject GRE scores in applications for September 2027.
