Academic: Bachelor's degree; U.S. bachelor's or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. No hard GPA cutoff published.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Preparation for doctoral research in chemistry; research experience is a key part of holistic review.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; Accepted alternative; department minimum 7.0.
TOEFL: 100 overall; Required if native language is not English unless waived via an English-medium undergraduate or graduate degree. Department requires ≥100 iBT (or paper 600 / computer 250). TGS school code 1565. Scores within two years of intended entry.
GRE: Required (no minimum published); GRE General Test required; no minimum score—reviewed holistically. Recommended before mid-November so official reports arrive in time. Enrolling admits may be reimbursed up to $220 for the testing fee.
