Published Score Requirements

Academic: Upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree; Minimum 2:1 honours degree or international equivalent; substantial professional experience may be considered without a bachelor's degree.
Prerequisites: Professional experience; Minimum three years relevant post-graduation full-time work experience; leadership or management experience strengthens the application.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (6.0 each component); MBA English requirement per Newcastle University Business School.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (R3.5, W3.5, L3, S3 minimum) | Old scale: 90 overall (R18, W17, L17, S17); Newcastle standard postgraduate equivalent. New scale applies to tests from 21 January 2026.; Newcastle standard postgraduate equivalent. Old scale applies to tests before 21 January 2026.
GMAT: Optional; A strong GMAT score can enhance the application but is not required.
