Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Graduate School minimum unless the department publishes a higher standard; competitive admission.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Minimal entry: multivariable calculus (e.g. MA 242) and matrix algebra (e.g. MA 305/405).
IELTS: 6.5 overall (6.5 each component); Graduate School Academic IELTS minimum; General IELTS not accepted.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.0 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 80 overall (18 each component); Graduate School minimum for tests taken on or after 21 January 2026. Speaking 5 required for TA appointment.; Graduate School minimum for tests taken before 21 January 2026. Some programs set higher minima.
