Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Relevant master's degree or an especially strong undergraduate record expected. GPA of at least 3.0 (B average) for undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Prerequisites: Quantitative background; MS-level microeconomic theory; econometrics or mathematical statistics at the MS level; multivariate calculus and linear algebra. Also expect MS-entry preparation: intermediate micro/macro, statistics, and two semesters of calculus. Additional economics, statistics, and math coursework recommended.
IELTS: 6.5 overall; Department minimum for non-native English speakers. TOEFL preferred; confirm Graduate School operational standards.
TOEFL: Old scale: 79 overall; Department minimum for non-native English speakers. Confirm component thresholds on Graduate School English standards.
