- Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS or equivalent)
- Academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university equivalent to a Swedish bachelor's degree. Final-year bachelor's students may apply.

- Relevant academic background
- Bachelor's (180 ECTS) in civil engineering, environmental engineering or another clearly relevant subject. Strongly recommended to meet at least two of: (A) fluid mechanics 5 ECTS and hydrology 5 ECTS; (B) macroeconomics or urban/regional planning 7.5 ECTS; (C) general and/or environmental soil chemistry 7.5 ECTS; (D) earth science 6 ECTS. Some courses also expect ~20 ECTS mathematics and ~6 ECTS numerical methods/programming.

- 6.5 overall (5.5 each component)
- English 6 / English Level 2 (University Admissions). Required if prior study does not meet the English requirement.
- TOEFL
- New scale: 4.5 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 90 overall (W20)
