Published Score Requirements

Academic: Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS or equivalent); Academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university equivalent to a Swedish bachelor's degree. Final-year bachelor's students may apply.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Bachelor's (180 ECTS) in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, ICT or equivalent: Mathematics ≥30 ECTS including calculus in one and several variables, linear algebra, and mathematical statistics; ≥60 ECTS in microelectronics, electronics, computer engineering and/or computer science; programming ≥6 ECTS (preferably C/C++); computer engineering/architecture ≥6 ECTS; basic digital design/digital technology. Embedded Electronics track has additional circuit/analogue/digital prerequisites for mandatory courses.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (5.5 each component); English 6 / English Level 2 (University Admissions). Required if prior study does not meet the English requirement.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 90 overall (W20); English 6 / English Level 2. Applies to TOEFL iBT tests dated 21 Jan 2026 or later (University Admissions). KTH cites overall 4.5 as an example.
