Academic: Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS or equivalent); Academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university equivalent to a Swedish bachelor's degree. Final-year bachelor's students may apply.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (180 ECTS) including structural mechanics and structural engineering (15 ECTS); geology, geotechnology, building materials and building physics (21 ECTS); mathematics and/or programming (20 ECTS). Fluid mechanics, hydrology and programming are prerequisites for some curriculum courses.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (5.5 each component); English 6 / English Level 2 (University Admissions). Required if prior study does not meet the English requirement.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 90 overall (W20); English 6 / English Level 2. Applies to TOEFL iBT tests dated 21 Jan 2026 or later (University Admissions).
