Motivation letter

Maximum 500 words for the choice of the Architecture master's program at KIT.

Design/project portfolio

PDF in DIN A4 format, maximum 30 pages; include the Bachelor's final thesis, selected own work, and a tabular CV.

Professional internship proof

Proof of the required twelve-week full-time professional internship; conditional completion by the beginning of the third semester may be permitted in individual cases.

Professional knowledge verification form

Applicant-completed form assigning Bachelor's achievements to the required subject areas.

German language certificate

Required for applicants whose native language is not German under KIT admission and enrollment rules.

Published Score Requirements

Academic: Bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS; In Architecture or a substantially equivalent program.
Prerequisites: Coursework prerequisites; Minimum prior achievement in Design 60 ECTS including an urban design project of at least 10 ECTS; Building Technology 30 ECTS; Theoretical and Historical Foundations 20 ECTS; Design and Representation 20 ECTS; and Urban and Landscape Planning 20 ECTS.
Prerequisites: Professional experience; Twelve-week full-time internship in an architectural office or structural engineering department of an office or large company.
Prerequisites: German language proficiency; Applicants whose native language is not German must provide German-language proof under KIT's admission and enrollment regulations.
Prerequisites: Subject-specific aptitude test; Successful project-portfolio assessment; applicants scoring 41–60 points are invited to an approximately 20-minute interview, while at least 61 portfolio points pass the test directly.
