Academic: Bachelor's degree; Or equivalent. HBS seeks candidates with strong academic preparation, leadership potential, and professional experience (no fixed minimum years published as a hard cutoff).
IELTS: 7.5 overall; Required when an English test is needed; HBS discourages applying below this score.
TOEFL: New scale: 5.0 overall | Old scale: 109 overall; Required if undergraduate instruction was not solely in English. HBS discourages applying below this score. New scale applies to tests from 21 Jan 2026; old scale applies before that date.
GMAT: Required (no minimum published); GMAT or GRE accepted.
GRE: Accepted alternative; Accepted as an alternative to GMAT.
