Academic: Bachelor's degree; Competitive HGSE residential Ed.M.; applicants apply directly to one of five residential programs. One-year full-time immersive format.
IELTS: 7.5 overall (7.5 each component) preferred; Required if native language is not English and bachelor's degree was not from an institution where English was the sole language of instruction with at least 3 years of full-time enrollment. HGSE publishes preferred minima (not hard cutoffs). New scale applies to tests from 21 Jan 2026; old scale applies before that date. A separate video response is also required when an English test is required.
TOEFL: New scale: 5.0 overall (5.0 each component) preferred | Old scale: 104 overall (26 each component) preferred; Required if native language is not English and bachelor's degree was not from an institution where English was the sole language of instruction with at least 3 years of full-time enrollment.
