IELTS: 7.0 overall (R/L 6.5, S/W 6.0); Published IELTS minimum on the ECE admissions page.
TOEFL: 86 overall (R22, L22, S20, W22); Single test date; MyBest not accepted. Not required if graduating from a US university by enrollment, or for CMU students/alumni, or UK/Canadian citizenship.
GRE: Optional; Optional for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 cycles as published; confirm if the department updates policy for later cycles. Applicants without scores are considered equally.
