Academic: Bachelor's degree; Bachelor's degree relevant to intended MAIA focus preferred (e.g., political science, history, economics, sociology, regional studies, religion, or communications). Other backgrounds considered with career or extracurricular evidence of international affairs commitment.
IELTS: 7.0 overall recommended; GRS recommended overall band score if English proficiency proof is required.
TOEFL: New scale: 5.0 overall recommended | Old scale: 100 overall recommended; GRS recommended minimum for the 1–6 scale from Jan 2026, if English proficiency proof is required.; GRS recommended minimum if English proficiency proof is required. Tests before 21 Jan 2026.
GRE: Not required; Pardee no longer requires GRE scores for graduate degree programs per program admissions materials.
