Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.2/4.0; Department minimum GPA 3.2 for bachelor's and graduate degrees. Graduate Division will not admit applicants who already hold a Ph.D. in science.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Bachelor's or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field; sufficient undergraduate training for graduate work in materials science and engineering.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; Academic Modules overall Band score must be at least 7 on a 9-point scale when IELTS is used.
TOEFL: 90 overall; Graduate Division English proficiency floor when required; department accepts TOEFL or IELTS for applicants from countries where English is not the official language.
GRE: Optional; GRE General Test is optional.
