Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Department will not consider a GPA below the University 3.0 minimum. Holistic review weights economics and mathematics/statistics GPAs heavily.
Prerequisites: Quantitative background; Minimum: intermediate micro and macro plus a year of calculus. Successful applicants usually have linear algebra, statistics, econometrics, and substantial intermediate/upper-level economics. Real analysis equivalent to Berkeley Math 104 is required before the graduate micro sequence; upload the syllabus if taken elsewhere.
IELTS: 7.0 overall; UC Berkeley Graduate Division minimum overall band for applicable applicants.
