Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Undergraduate degree with admission GPA at least 3.0 on last 60 units (or last two years), or equivalent.
Prerequisites: Supervisor identification; Must identify a potential supervisor for thesis-based study.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (6.0 each band); Equivalent approved English proficiency exam accepted where TOEFL is unavailable.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.5 each section) | Old scale: 90 overall (21 each section); Department ELP. New scale applies to tests written on or after 21 Jan 2026.; Department ELP. Old scale applies to tests written before 21 Jan 2026.
GRE: GRE General required (waivable by supervisor); GRE General Test scores required unless waived with explicit written consent of the applicant’s potential supervisor(s).
