Personal statement

Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.3/4.0; Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent). GPA of at least 3.3 on the last two years (*60) of relevant undergraduate or graduate work, or equivalent.
Prerequisites: Quantitative / computational background; Prefer mathematical and statistical sciences; other backgrounds with strong mathematical, statistical, or computational skills encouraged.
IELTS: 7.0 overall (6.0 each band); Department minimum IELTS Academic. Scores must be less than two years old.
TOEFL: New scale: 5 overall (4.5 each section) | Old scale: 100 overall (22 each section); Mathematical and Statistical Sciences department ELP. New scale applies to tests written on or after 21 Jan 2026.; Mathematical and Statistical Sciences department ELP. Old scale applies to tests written before 21 Jan 2026.
GRE: Optional; GRE General and Mathematics scores may be submitted but are not required (department how-to-apply).
