Academic: Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.0/4.0; Admission GPA at least 3.0 on last 60 units (or last two years of full-time graded coursework), or equivalent.
Prerequisites: Undergraduate engineering degree; Applicants wishing to pursue an MEng must have an undergraduate degree in Engineering. Qualified applicants with other engineering fields may be considered; non-engineering backgrounds may require undergraduate engineering courses.
IELTS: 7.0 overall (6.0 each band); Department Academic IELTS minimum.
TOEFL: New scale: 5 overall (4.5 each section) | Old scale: 92 overall (21 each section); Department ELP. New scale applies to tests written on or after 21 Jan 2026.; Department ELP. Old scale applies to tests written before 21 Jan 2026.
GRE: Optional; GRE is optional.
