Motivation letter

Academic: Bachelor's degree; 180 ECTS or three years of full-time study; must grant eligibility for master's studies in the awarding country. Master's degrees alone do not grant eligibility except certain long-cycle degrees.
Prerequisites: Relevant academic background; Relevant bachelor's with strong quantitative and economics background; Helsinki Graduate School of Economics collaboration.
GMAT: Required (GMAT Focus 515+ or 10th Edition 550+); Obligatory for admission group 2 (bachelor's from a Finnish university of applied sciences or from outside Finland). GMAT Online and GRE General Test accepted as alternative.
IELTS: 6.5 overall (6.0 writing); Required if prior degree was not taught in English.
TOEFL: New scale: 4.5 overall (4.0 each component) | Old scale: 92 overall (22 writing); For tests taken on or after 21 January 2026.; For tests taken before 21 January 2026.
GRE: Accepted alternative (154 verbal / 155 quantitative minimum); GRE General Test or GRE Revised General Test accepted instead of GMAT for admission group 2. Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning scores considered; Analytical Writing not used in admission.
